Background
I was tasked with designing a program for Marketing Connect, a two-day conference aimed at equipping businesses with the marketing tools and strategies they need to drive growth. The event brings together industry experts and thought leaders to share insights on the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing, social media, content marketing, SEO, and more. With a packed agenda of keynote presentations, breakout sessions, workshops, and networking events, Marketing Connect provides attendees with actionable knowledge and skills to take their marketing efforts to the next level. My challenge was to create a program that would serve as a comprehensive guide to the event, providing attendees with all the information they need to navigate the conference and make the most of their time.
Challenge
Given the focus of the conference on marketing and growth, I knew the program needed to be a standout example of effective design and branding. It needed to include a detailed schedule, speaker bios, session descriptions, maps of the venue, and space for note-taking. I had to create a program that was not only informative but also reflected the cutting-edge marketing strategies that would be shared at the event.
Solution
I began by developing a bold and eye-catching cover for the program. The Marketing Connect logo was prominently featured, along with bright and contrasting colors that would make the program pop. The title "Marketing Connect: Fueling Business Growth" was included to clearly communicate the focus and value proposition of the conference.
Inside the program, the team created a clean and intuitive layout. A detailed schedule of events was included, with each session clearly listed along with the date, time, location, speaker information, and a brief description of the topic and takeaways. The team used icons and color-coding to differentiate between different types of sessions, such as keynotes, breakouts, and workshops.
Speaker bios were included in a separate section, with photos, job titles, companies, and short descriptions of each speaker's background and expertise. This allowed attendees to get a sense of the knowledge and insights that each speaker would bring to their session.
Throughout the program, the team left ample space for attendees to take notes. This encouraged active engagement with the content and allowed attendees to jot down key takeaways, ideas, and action items as they arose during the sessions.
